Fabman is a self-service user portal that works with your FabCard and the machines at Fab Lab.
Fabman allows you to book and access machines at Fab Lab. You can also use your FabCard and Fabman as a topup card to pay for materials and services.
Fabman also keeps a record of the courses and training you’ve received at Fab Lab. You may notice swipe terminals (pictured below) next to certain machines - you can use your FabCard to log in and turn on these machines. But be mindful - if you haven’t attended the relevant training course for a machine, you won’t be able log in until you’ve completed the course.
Once you become a Fab Lab Member, you can log into Fabman using the link below (add this to your Favourites / Bookmarks):
For new members, you will be sent an invite email to the email address you provided us with when you registered as a Fab Lab Member. Through the invite link, you will be able to set a password to access and log in to your account.

Your FabCard works like any other contactless swipe card. Simply tap your card against the swipe terminal connected to a machine to turn it on.
Your FabCard allows you to access machines during our Open Afternoons.
College staff have additional privileges and can access machines throughout the week, between the hours of 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday.
Once you’ve finished using a machine, press the X button to log out.

You can use your FabCard as a top-up card, with which you can load credit to pay for goods & services.
We currently only accept payment by cash - please speak to a Fab Lab member of staff if you would like to add credit to your account.
You can also use the Fabman portal to view your transactions and account credit.
